What are the responsibilities and job description for the Injection Molding Process Technician (3-5 Years Experience) Off Shift and Overnight Position position at Confidential Posting?
This position will be located in Williamston, SC. The Process Technician maintains all processes and procedures regarding the injection molding process. The Process Technician works closely with the Production Supervisor, Automation Technicians and Material Setters to maintain and improve the processes.
Position Responsibilities- Essential
- Reports to the production supervisor and follows the daily production schedule, while receiving technical support from the Process Specialist and Maintenance Manager
- Works according to the standard procedures
- To accurately set & process tooling in accordance with the production schedule, the SMED procedure and the setting cards
- Responsible for rapidly responding to any processing issues to minimize downtime on assigned shift
- Assist production in any technical aspects
- Maintain injection molding processes to reduce scrap and improve uptime
- Document any process changes in the TBH books and inform the Process Specialist
- Responsible for troubleshooting / responding and rectifying production process issues
- Be able to change the pick arm from robots (ABB)
- Maintain daily and small maintenance required for injection molding machines
- Set up monitoring after MC and during production run according to EuWe standard
- Responsible for parts quality troubleshooting, improving and optimizing the injection molding process
- Maintain and clean tools in production run according to cleaning plan
- Check injection units for material leak and any other issues according to cleaning plan
- Assist on tryout for new tools and industrializing new injection molding process
- Clean machines during changeovers and remove previous parts from machine.
- Report any technical issues to the Production Supervisor, Process Specialist and Maintenance Manager
- Apply 5S methods daily
- Ensure safe and clean work areas by cleaning up spills or any other process/automation related root causes
- Consistently monitor production KPIs, and present ideas to improve them
- Participation in the continuous improvement process and the implementation of the agreed improvements

Essential Skills and Experience
· Good verbal and written skills
· Safely operate Forklifts, Overhead Crane, Scissor Lifts, or Boom Lifts to repair broken equipment.
· Properly use LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures when isolating and de-energizing equipment for repair or replacement.
· Properly use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when working on any equipment/project in accordance with company safety standards.
· Understanding and knowledge of injection molding process
· Positive and supportive attitude, team player
· Good verbal and written skills
Beneficial Skills and Experience
- Advanced training, knowledge, and awareness in scientific molding.
- Automotive supplier experience is a plus
- Engel Injection Molding Machine experience is a plus
- RJG/AIM/Paulson, Scientific Molding Certificate a plus.
