What are the responsibilities and job description for the NDT LEVEL II position at Confidential-Manufacturing?

This is a challenging role that involves performing all required inspections, tests, and evaluations in Liquid penetrant. You will also ensure all equipment, personnel, and planning are maintained for proficient operation and quality compliance.
Responsibilities include:
The FPI Technician will be performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.
FPI Technicians are qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret fand evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
FPI Technicians are thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used and should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of assistants and level I technicians.
Ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
.Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
Apply testing criteria in accordance with application specifications or standards and evaluate results.
Organize and report test results.
Assist in the development and implementation of advanced technical inspections.
Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications include:
High school diploma or GED
Verifiable documentation of previous certifications as a FPI Technician II (NAS410 is preferred) in at least one of the following principles:
Dye Penetrant Visible
Fluorescent Penetrant
Retain the certification or provide verifiable documentation of past certification as described NAS410 to perform as a certified inspector in these disciplines: Level 2 in Ultrasonics, Eddy Current, Radiography, or Liquid Penetrant.
6 months demonstrated experience in the use of basic hand tools for setting up equipment, fixtures, and parts of inspection.
Pass the eye test requirements per NAS410. (Near vision 20/25 and color perception)
Desirable Qualifications
Multiple Certifications held in NDT. (3 points)
Technical degree or Vocational degree in NDT. (2 points)
Proficient in the use of shop math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and use of fractions and decimals) with the ability to learn and apply trigonometry and geometry. (1 point)
Understands repair process and service induced discontinuities related to aviation hardware overhauled and repaired. (1 point
Pay: $44.00 - $45.00 per hour
