Vice President Information Technology

Confidential Jobs
York, NY Full Time
POSTED ON 6/10/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 7/8/2026

The Vice President of Information Technology is responsible for leading the overall technology strategy, enterprise systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data management, and technology operations for the organization. This executive will serve as a strategic business partner to the leadership team, ensuring technology investments support growth, operational excellence, customer experience, and long-term scalability.

The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with technology leadership experience in retail, consumer products, apparel, eCommerce, or multi-channel environments. This individual will oversee the company's technology ecosystem, lead internal and external technology resources, and ensure systems, processes, and infrastructure effectively support the evolving needs of the business.

Attributes critical to success in this role include thought leadership, critical thinking, a bias for action, eCommerce fluency, and a true partnership mindset — the willingness to roll up sleeves when the work demands it. The ideal profile is applications-oriented and business-minded: someone who prioritizes ERP, e-commerce, AI, and enterprise application strategy over telecommunications or network infrastructure, and who understands how technology drives commercial outcomes. This individual is a genuine advocate for IT modernization and emerging technology, with strong project management and change management capabilities — and with the experience to support international operations across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute the company's technology roadmap in alignment with business objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, business performance, and customer experience through technology.
  • Ensure technology investments are aligned with organizational priorities and deliver measurable business value.
  • Provide strategic guidance on emerging technologies, systems enhancements, and technology best practices.
  • Champion the adoption of AI, automation, and next-generation technologies — evaluating their practical business impact and building a roadmap that positions the company competitively.
  • Serve as an internal advocate for meaningful IT change — leading structured change management initiatives, coordinating across departments, developing and revising SOPs, and building a culture of continuous technology improvement throughout the organization.

Enterprise Applications & Business Systems

  • Provide executive oversight of enterprise applications supporting finance, supply chain, operations, merchandising, customer experience, and eCommerce.
  • Ensure business systems are effectively integrated, scalable, and aligned with organizational needs.
  • Establish governance, standards, and best practices for enterprise systems, data management, and technology delivery.
  • Lead major system upgrades, enhancements, implementations, and vendor-led initiatives.
  • Own the ERP strategy and roadmap — evaluating current system capabilities, leading optimization efforts, and driving enhancements that improve operational efficiency across finance, supply chain, and merchandising.
  • Identify and implement AI-driven solutions across business applications — leveraging machine learning, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation to enhance decision-making, reporting, and operational performance.

eCommerce & Digital Operations

  • Oversee technology platforms supporting both direct-to-consumer and wholesale business channels.
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure technology capabilities support revenue growth, customer engagement, and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure seamless integration between customer-facing platforms and core business systems.
  • Support ongoing optimization of digital commerce capabilities and customer experience.

International Commerce & Global Operations

  • Oversee technology systems and integrations supporting international business operations, including network management and specialized business applications supporting sourcing, product development, and manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure international technology systems are reliable, properly integrated, and supported — meeting the operational needs of each market without disruption to the broader business.
  • Collaborate with international business partners, vendors, and IT support resources to ensure seamless global operations and consistent user experience across geographies.

Infrastructure, Security & Operations

  • Oversee technology infrastructure, cloud environments, networks, and end-user computing services.
  • Maintain a strong cybersecurity and risk management framework to protect company assets and information.
  • Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery, and technology resiliency plans are maintained and tested.
  • Establish operational performance standards and service levels across the technology organization.

Leadership & Vendor Management

  • Lead, develop, and mentor technology team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional project management efforts — coordinating across business departments, managing competing priorities, and developing or revising standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support technology adoption and operational change.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, consultants, managed service providers, and strategic partners.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, balancing operational efficiency, innovation, and long-term business needs.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms to measure technology performance and communicate progress to executive leadership.

Professional Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; equivalent leadership experience will be considered.
  • This is an onsite leadership role requiring presence in the office five days per week. Candidates must be willing and able to meet this requirement.
  • 10 years of progressive technology leadership experience, including senior-level responsibility for enterprise technology operations and strategy.
  • Experience leading technology organizations within retail, consumer products, apparel, manufacturing, distribution, or multi-channel commerce environments.
  • Demonstrated success overseeing enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business systems.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce operations and customer-facing technologies.
  • Experience leading enterprise technology initiatives, system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements; demonstrated project management and change management skills, including cross-departmental coordination and SOP development.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong financial, vendor management, and strategic planning capabilities.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting both wholesale and direct-to-consumer business models.
  • Background in apparel, fashion, consumer products, retail, or related industries.
  • Experience leading technology organizations through periods of growth, system modernization, or operational expansion.
  • Familiarity with data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting environments.
  • Experience managing distributed teams and external technology partners.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems — selection, implementation, optimization, or migration — in a multi-channel retail, wholesale, or consumer products environment.
  • Experience supporting international operations, including network and application support in manufacturing or sourcing markets (e.g., China, India) and B2B/marketplace commerce operations in markets such as the UK.
  • Strong applications orientation — depth in enterprise software, business systems, and reporting environments; comfort with the business and commercial dimensions of IT, with less emphasis on network infrastructure or telecommunications.

What Sets This Opportunity Apart

  • Direct partnership with the executive leadership team.
  • Opportunity to shape the technology strategy of a growing, multi-channel consumer brand.
  • Broad executive ownership across applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, eCommerce, and business operations.
  • High visibility role with meaningful influence on company growth and performance.
  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and long-term leadership opportunity.
