What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President Information Technology position at Confidential Jobs?
The Vice President of Information Technology is responsible for leading the overall technology strategy, enterprise systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data management, and technology operations for the organization. This executive will serve as a strategic business partner to the leadership team, ensuring technology investments support growth, operational excellence, customer experience, and long-term scalability.
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with technology leadership experience in retail, consumer products, apparel, eCommerce, or multi-channel environments. This individual will oversee the company's technology ecosystem, lead internal and external technology resources, and ensure systems, processes, and infrastructure effectively support the evolving needs of the business.
Attributes critical to success in this role include thought leadership, critical thinking, a bias for action, eCommerce fluency, and a true partnership mindset — the willingness to roll up sleeves when the work demands it. The ideal profile is applications-oriented and business-minded: someone who prioritizes ERP, e-commerce, AI, and enterprise application strategy over telecommunications or network infrastructure, and who understands how technology drives commercial outcomes. This individual is a genuine advocate for IT modernization and emerging technology, with strong project management and change management capabilities — and with the experience to support international operations across North America, Europe, and Asia.

- Collaborate with international business partners, vendors, and IT support resources to ensure seamless global operations and consistent user experience across geographies.
Infrastructure, Security & Operations
- Oversee technology infrastructure, cloud environments, networks, and end-user computing services.
- Maintain a strong cybersecurity and risk management framework to protect company assets and information.
- Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery, and technology resiliency plans are maintained and tested.
- Establish operational performance standards and service levels across the technology organization.
Leadership & Vendor Management
- Lead, develop, and mentor technology team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
