What You’ll Do
As a Senior Accountant, you will take the lead on business accounting engagements, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of all work products. You will serve as a trusted technical resource for the team, applying your advanced accounting and tax knowledge to resolve challenges, guide decision‑making, and uphold firm standards. You will also play a key role in strengthening internal processes, enhancing workflow efficiency, and contributing to leadership initiatives that drive continuous improvement across the firm.
Advanced Accounting & Tax
- You will perform and oversee client accounting matters, month‑end and year‑end close processes, payroll and other business reporting areas, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
- You will prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure completeness and compliance.
- You may support the preparation of individual and business tax returns across a variety of entity types.
- You will lead GAAP and tax research on issues and apply findings to client‑specific situations.
Client Leadership
- You will serve as a trusted accounting advisor for business clients, acting as a primary point of contact for questions and issues.
- You will proactively identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements that benefit client operations and financial outcomes.
- You will communicate accounting and tax matters in a clear, professional, and client‑friendly manner.
Team Leadership & Quality Control
- You will provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to strengthen team skills and capabilities.
- You will ensure the team’s adherence to firm standards, policies, and deadlines.
- You will assist with the onboarding and training of new team members to support smooth integration into the firm.
Process Improvement
- You will identify opportunities to streamline and enhance accounting workflows for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- You will contribute to developing documentation, standardized procedures, and best practices.
- You will support leadership on special projects and firm‑wide initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.
Certifications
- QuickBooks Pro Advisor
Technical Skills
- Strong, up‑to‑date technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Advanced proficiency with accounting and tax software, along with the ability to learn new platforms quickly.
Soft Skills
