The IT Network Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT Network infrastructure and systems that support manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead a small team of other Network Administrators.
- Design and implement scalable Network infrastructure solutions to support manufacturing operations. Collaboration with Global Network Teams.
- Manage and maintain On-site and Remote technical Core and Edge switching, along with OT and WIFI AP mappings.
- Implementing robust security measures, firewalls.
- Implement and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols.
- Implement and support Plant floor network segmentations.
- Collaborating with Global Network team on implementing standards.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime.
- Assist with Security events.
- Ensure audit compliance requirements are achieved.
- Problem solves latency and threshold limits to eliminate outages.
- Ensure cybersecurity protocols and data protection measures are in place and followed.
- Lead or support IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, data flows, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Train team members on Network strategies and advanced configurations.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or IT architecture.
- 3 years of experience Networking in OT- manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of routing/switching, firewalls, IP addressing, SD-WAN, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Required certifications: Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, and CISSP for security (higher value) or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong knowledge of routing/switching, firewalls, IP addressing, SD-WAN, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
