Position: Manager – Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs
Position Reports to: Head of Operations / COO

Job Type: Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Role Summary:
The QA/RA Manager plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, safety and regulatory compliance across our product portfolio.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial CPG environment.
You will drive compliance with U.S. and international requirements while enabling innovation, speed-to-market, and consumer trust.
The role spans supplier quality, product testing, labelling/claims review and regulatory submissions.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
- Develop and maintain a scalable Quality Management System (QMS) tailored for a lean, growth-stage CPG business.
- Oversee supplier and co-manufacturer quality, including audits, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Manage product testing programs (specifications, stability, safety and shelf-life monitoring).
- Lead complaint management, recall readiness and CAPA processes.
- Promote a culture of quality across the business, providing training and guidance to cross-functional teams.
Regulatory Affairs
- Ensure compliance with relevant FDA, FTC, EU and global CPG/sexual wellness regulations.
- Oversee product registrations, technical files, and documentation to support market entry.
- Manage labelling and packaging compliance, ensuring accurate claims substantiation and regulatory alignment.
- Monitor regulatory trends and advise leadership on emerging risks and opportunities.
- Partner with R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain and Legal to enable compliant innovation and launches.
Qualifications and Skills
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years’ experience in QA and/or RA within CPG, personal care, consumer health, or adjacent categories.
- Strong working knowledge of FDA, FTC and EU consumer product regulations.
- Hands-on experience with supplier quality management, product testing, and regulatory documentation.
- Ability to thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial, fast-growth environment.
- Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred
- Advanced degree or Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC).
- Experience with medical devices, cosmetics, or OTC categories.
- Familiarity with claims substantiation, digital commerce compliance and ethical marketing standards.
