Director of IT & Data Operations
Job Summary
The Director of IT & Data Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing technology operations, data infrastructure, and cybersecurity across a multi-location organization. This position leads outsourced IT services, enterprise systems, business intelligence, and data governance to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable solutions that support business growth.
This role requires a balance of technical expertise, vendor oversight, and data fluency, with the ability to translate system data into meaningful insights. The Director partners closely with finance, operations, and external providers to drive accountability, improve performance, and maintain a strong technology foundation.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with third-party IT service providers, ensuring performance, responsiveness, and service quality
- Establish communication standards, accountability measures, and escalation procedures
- Oversee end-user support, system access, and hardware/software lifecycle management
- Support a distributed workforce across multiple locations, including field-based teams
Data & Business Intelligence
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across systems
- Partner with internal teams to support reporting and analytics needs
- Oversee dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Maintain visibility into data flow across platforms and systems
Systems & Integration
- Oversee enterprise applications and ensure alignment across business units
- Support system integrations and data connectivity between platforms
- Lead technology integration efforts related to acquisitions
Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Manage cybersecurity practices, policies, and risk mitigation efforts
- Coordinate audits, assessments, and compliance initiatives
- Maintain proper access controls and data protection standards
- Identify risks and communicate mitigation strategies to leadership
IT Strategy & Planning
- Lead IT budgeting, forecasting, and planning
- Identify opportunities for system and process improvements
- Align technology initiatives with business priorities
Qualifications

- Experience in multi-location or high-growth environments preferred
- Experience with system integrations or acquisitions is a plus
