Confidential Company is currently seeking an experienced Capital Contracts Manager in Deer Park, TX to oversee the management, negotiation, and administration of legal, commercial, and financial terms of contracts across all U.S. locations. This role is critical to ensuring proper risk management, compliance, and cost control in support of nationwide capital projects and ongoing service agreements. The Capital Contracts Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle of customer and subcontractor agreements, including contract negotiation, compliance, pricing, and database management. This role partners with project management, procurement, finance, legal, and operations to support successful project execution, minimize contractual risk, and maintain competitive pricing structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage existing and in-process customer and subcontractor agreements, including renewals and amendments.
- Coordinate rate and pricing changes in collaboration with finance and leadership.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions with customers and subcontractors to ensure proper protection and risk mitigation.
- Lead the preparation, review, and administration of capital project contracts, including engineering, procurement, and construction agreements.
- Develop and present customer pricing sheets, rate schedules, and supporting cost documentation.
- Maintain a comprehensive database and filing system of all contracts and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contract terms, and legal requirements.
- Lead the development of major service proposals, coordinating cross-departmental inputs to meet deadlines.
- Support resolution and negotiation of legal and commercial disputes.
- Apply pre-qualification processes and procedures for new and existing clients.
- Provide strategic guidance to project managers and leadership on contract management best practices.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure contract alignment with budgets, cost tracking, and reporting.
- Exhibit high ethical standards and integrity in all business dealings.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Law, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s or JD preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract management, with strong focus on construction, industrial services, or petrochemical industries.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, capital project agreements, and master service agreements.
- Proven success negotiating complex contract terms, conditions, and pricing.
- Strong ability to balance risk management with business opportunity.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; computer literate with contract management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interact effectively with executive leadership, P&L owners, and clients.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and business units.
