Billing Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our Accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing customer payments, generating and auditing invoices, posting revenue transactions, and supporting weekly billing operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, accurate, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional customer service to both internal teams and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Post customer payments accurately across all business units.
• Generate, review, and audit customer invoices for accuracy.
• Verify and post revenue transactions from bank deposit information.
• Assist with weekly billing close and invoice auditing processes.
• Contact branch offices to obtain missing documentation required for invoicing.
• Organize, distribute, and send invoices via mail and email.
• Scan and maintain billing documentation and payment records.
• Support Accounts Receivable and Collections with quality assurance calls as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate billing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Accounting department and overall business operations.

Qualifications:

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Basic math and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Preferred

• At least one year of billing, accounting, customer service, or related business experience.
