Our client, a well renowned and leading professional firm based in Los Angeles is looking for a Fund Accountant to join their tight-knit team and help lead the team in partnership with the leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to step into a highly visible role at a company that promotes from within. This position is hybrid onsite 4 days in the West LA area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow) for the fund.
- Month-End & Year-End Closing: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial data and compliance with accounting policies.
- Financial Record Maintenance: Accurately record daily transactions and corporate actions related to fund activities.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and management of budgets, analyze variances, and provide detailed financial insights to support decision-making and cost control.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial policies, and industry standards. Coordinate with external auditors and manage tax-related activities.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate current accounting processes and systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy, including leveraging new accounting technologies and automation tools.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of accounting experience and 1 years of Big 4 public accounting experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capability to collaborate across departments and present financial insights to leadership.
- Organizational Skills: Highly analytical with excellent organizational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.

Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
