We are partnering on a confidential search for a Controller to lead and rebuild the accounting function within a growing, operationally complex business.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone who understands how accounting ties directly to operations, with experience navigating cost structures, inventory, and scaling processes in a product-driven environment. The position offers the opportunity to step into a high-impact seat, establish structure, and drive financial clarity during a period of continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day accounting function across general ledger, payables, receivables, and reporting
- Own the close process, ensuring timely and accurate financials in line with GAAP
- Establish and enhance internal controls, procedures, and scalable accounting workflows
- Work closely with leadership to provide financial insight and support key business decisions
- Oversee and coordinate with an international accounting support team
- Identify opportunities for system enhancements and lead future platform implementations
- Evaluate cost drivers, margins, and overall operational performance
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of progressive accounting experience, including time in a Controller or equivalent leadership role
- Experience within a product-driven or operationally complex environment (required)
- Strong grasp of cost accounting, inventory management, and margin analysis
- Demonstrated success building or improving accounting processes in a growing organization
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on role with direct exposure to senior leadership
- Experience managing offshore or geographically distributed teams
- CPA is a plus
Salary : $170,000 - $200,000
