What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Safety & Health Specialist - Entry Level position at Confidential-Consulting?
Under the direction of the Senior Safety Engineer you will conduct safety training for employees, manage training records, and perform quantitative occupational exposure measurements to ensure environmental controls are effectively working in an industrial setting. These measurements are performed in industrial environments and are an important function of the overall employee risk assessment process. This is a part time position with eventual progression to full-time for the right candidate. Three year contract required.

Must have superb people skills and exceptional follow-up skills.
Work is performed at two locations in Glastonbury and Middletown, CT. Candidate must be able to commute to both sites.
Job Functions:
Perform quantitative industrial hygiene field measurements
Perform local exhaust ventilation surveys.
Perform employee safety training.
Manage training records online
Work performed under a Certified Industrial Hygienist.

Qualifications and Skills
Associates degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Public Health, Environmental Health, or Science a plus
Job Type: Part time with eventual progression to full-time, 3 year contract
Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word. SAP experience is a plus. All job-related technical training is provided by the company.
