Growth Equity Senior Associate, Healthcare Investment Team – Position Description
Overview
- The primary focus of the Fund is to make non-control, growth and structured equity investments into Healthcare-oriented companies in the middle and lower middle market ($50m - $500m EBITDA). This role is based in the firm’s NYC office.
- Ideal candidates are trained in investment banking or strategy consulting and have 1-2 years of relevant investing experience in a transactions-oriented private markets setting.
Responsibilities
- The Senior Associate is involved in all aspects of transaction evaluation including business, industry and financial due diligence, financial modeling and valuation analysis and preparation of investment committee memoranda and presentations as well as travel for deal diligence from time to time.
- The Senior Associate will be primarily responsible for screening, analyzing and executing principal investments in private equity transactions, as well as monitoring portfolio companies in partnership with the Fund’s value creation team.
- Perform ongoing due diligence and monitoring of partner companies; communicate updates to the investment committee (orally and written).
- Analyze potential investment opportunities and engage in all aspects of due diligence / business analysis to develop and refine investment theses.
- Complete due diligence including review of investment target information and data room, industry research, financial modeling, financial statement review, interaction with management, use of consultants, review of third party reports, etc.
- Prepare analysis and memorandums used for internal discussions and formal investment committee approval processes.
- Participate in deal team discussions and presentations with investment committee.
- Liaise directly with management teams and third party due diligence providers during deal origination and underwriting process.
- Participate in the transaction closing, which includes legal documentation and funding operations.
Salary : $250,000 - $300,000
