Middle Office Associate / Investment Operations
A leading global alternative asset manager is seeking a Middle Office professional to join its investment operations team in New York. This role sits at the center of the investment lifecycle and provides operational support across multiple funds, separately managed accounts, and portfolio investments.
The position offers broad exposure to front office teams, portfolio managers, finance, and external service providers while helping ensure the smooth execution, monitoring, and reporting of investment activity.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily liquidity and cash reporting to investment teams and support funding requirements for portfolio transactions
- Partner with fund accounting teams and external administrators to prepare and validate NAV, P&L, and other investment reporting items
- Support trade support, collateral management, asset servicing, and reconciliations across multiple investment vehicles
- Monitor private deal pipelines to ensure operational readiness and funding for transactions including delayed draws, revolvers, and privately originated loans
- Track FX balances and hedging needs and coordinate related trading activity
- Manage relationships with custodians, counterparties, and service providers
- Perform monthly cash, position, and income reconciliations and support month-end deliverables
- Assist with fund onboarding and new product launches
- Produce ad hoc reporting and analysis for investment, operations, and finance teams
- Contribute to process improvements and operating model enhancements across the investment operations platform
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Approximately 2-5 years of experience in investment operations, middle office, or fund operations within asset management, hedge funds, private credit, or related financial institutions
- Strong understanding of fund structures, NAV, and investment reporting
- Experience supporting multi-asset investment strategies, which may include: Bank loans / syndicated debt, Fixed income and credit products, Real estate investments, FX and derivatives, Equities and options, etc.
Compensation
- Base salary typically ranges from $100,000 – $130,000, plus discretionary bonus (commensurate with experience)
