The Continuous Improvement Engineer supports implementation of the plant’s performance system by driving continuous improvement initiatives, facilitating kaizen events, leading root cause analysis, and partnering with plant leadership to achieve key performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead plant-level continuous improvement initiatives and act as a change agent.
- Partner with leadership to monitor KPIs and achieve performance targets.
- Facilitate kaizen events and structured problem-solving activities (Gemba, root cause analysis).
- Manage KPI tracking and reporting (daily/weekly/monthly).
- Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities and simplify data collection processes.
- Train teams on problem-solving tools and support cost-savings tracking.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Food Science, or related field (or equivalent CI experience).
- 3 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of statistical process control and root cause analysis.
- Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion.
