POSITION:               Employee Relations Supervisor

SALARY:                   $35.13 -$42.79 hourly

REPORTS TO:        CTHCA HR Director

LOCATION:              Colville Tribal Healthcare Authority, Reservation Wide

SUMMARY:

The Employee Relations Supervisor is a working supervisor responsible for coordinating and performing day-to-day employee relations functions, including workplace investigations, progressive discipline, performance management and appraisals, organizational training, unemployment claims, team member engagement, and recognition programs. Working closely with the Director of Human Resources, the incumbent promotes consistent application of policies and employment practices, provides guidance to team members and leadership within established authority, and escalates complex or significant matters as appropriate. The position supervises assigned Human Resources staff while remaining actively involved in the daily work of the department. This position requires a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented professional who demonstrates a high degree of accuracy, remains focused and on track while managing competing priorities, and consistently communicates with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Organizational Development, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible related experience, as determined by CTHCA, may be considered.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, including experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, progressive discipline, training, or related Human Resources functions.
• Demonstrated experience conducting or assisting with workplace investigations and appropriately documenting findings.
• Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying Human Resources policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated experience preparing professional Human Resources documentation, correspondence, reports, or similar written materials.
• Experience providing guidance or support to team members, supervisors, or managers regarding Human Resources matters.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Colville Indian Reservation and, as required, out of town.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and outside regular business hours as required.

Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.

If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance.  In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances.  If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
