SUMMARY
The Health Services Grant Coordinator is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing grant funding that supports organizational priorities. This position manages the full grant lifecycle, including opportunity research, proposal development, submission, and post-award monitoring to ensure compliance and successful program implementation.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors grant portals and funding sources for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs) aligned with organizational priorities.
- Disseminates funding opportunities to appropriate staff and facilitates decision-making regarding pursuit.
- Conducts pre-application screening to ensure eligibility and alignment with funding requirements.
- Coordinates and facilitates pre-application meetings, including timeline development and task assignment.
- Collaborates with program staff to develop competitive grant proposals, including project narratives, budgets, and required documentation.
- Writes, edits, and reviews proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with funding priorities and scoring criteria.
- Ensures all submissions meet technical requirements, deadlines, and agency guidelines.
- Prepares and complies supporting materials such as job descriptions, resumes, organizational charts, maps, and required forms.
- Drafts letters of support, commitment letters and Tribal resolutions.
- Coordinates final review and submission of grant applications.
- Reviews Notices of Award and distributes information to appropriate program staff.
- Schedules and facilitates post-award meetings to communicate grant requirements and expectations.
- Supports program staff in implementing grant-funded programs in compliance with federal, state, local, and Tribal regulations.
- Ensures clear communication of program goals, scope, deliverables, and compliance requirements.
- Assists with coordination of grant-funded project activities to ensure successful implementation.
- Supports development and monitoring of program budgets.
- Assists with programmatic reporting and grant closeout processes.
- Maintains accurate and organized grant records, files, and reporting systems to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
- Collaborates efficiently and effectively while consistently demonstrating professionalism and maintaining positive, respectful relationships with internal teams, external partners, and Tribal members.
- Other duties as directed by management.
LEVEL OF AUTHORITY & RESTRICTIONS
- This position requires working independently without overseeing others, with no authority in decision-making.

- Requires the ability to manage moderate levels of stress arising from schedules, workload, diverse or adversarial stakeholders, etc.
- Must be able to walk, talk, hear, use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.

- May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance.
- Must be able to sit and type for long periods of time.
WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT
- Will require working occasional nights and/or weekends.
- Moderate noise level with frequent interruptions and distractions.
- Lighting conditions may be very bright or very dim.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- An associate’s degree in Business Administration – or – equivalent combination of education and experience
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in grant writing, grant management and administration, proposal development, or experience that justifies the abilities to do the job.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated proficiency analyzing solutions
- Experience and proficiency in the use of Microsoft products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc).
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
- This position is considered a non-covered role per the CTCLUSI Background Investigations Policy. A state criminal background check and fingerprint-based background check will be required as a condition of employment.
- This position is subject to pre-employment and other authorized drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company policy.
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
