Senior Finance Manager

We’re seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join our high-performing finance team supporting a dynamic retail business. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis, driving performance insights, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization. You will partner directly with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance & Profitability Leadership
- Oversee financial performance analysis for key business units
- Lead cross-functional reviews of capital investments, retail programs, and business partnerships to assess ROI and impact.
- Deliver actionable site-level insights through labor and sales metrics to drive improvements in EBITDA.
- Partner with operational and business leaders to define and monitor KPIs
Financial Planning & Business Forecasting
- Own monthly financial and operational forecasting processes in collaboration with department heads.
- Lead the development of the annual budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational plans.
- Drive month-end and quarter-end close processes, including variance analysis and executive reporting packages.
- Serve as a finance liaison between accounting, operations, and category management to interpret trends and financial results.
Strategic Initiatives & Executive Reporting
- Lead strategic financial modeling, scenario planning, and deep-dive profitability analyses to support high-impact decisions.
- Present financial insights, dashboards, and performance narratives to the Executive Leadership Team.
- Evaluate business cases and capital expenditures through detailed ROI and sensitivity analyses.
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
- Champion finance process improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Enhance financial reporting tools, dashboards, and visualizations in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint for data storytelling.
- Drive best practices and documentation through the creation and maintenance of SOPs and training materials for finance operations.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate finance—retail or multi-site operations experience highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Oracle, Tableau) preferred.
- Proven track record in leading financial planning cycles and delivering executive-level reporting and insights.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and financial modeling skills with a focus on translating data into business action.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and simplify complex financial concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage cross-functional collaboration, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized team player.
