Conexus is working with an Aerospace Manufacturing Company seeking an Interim-to-Hire Plant Controller.
We are looking for a Plant Controller to develop accounting policies and oversee all financial procedures of one of the Company's Plant Operations. As a Plant Controller, you’ll monitor the company’s financial status, review quarterly and annual budgets and manage accounting transactions. To be successful in this role, you should robust manufacturing experience or strong experience with percentage-of-completion accounting.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall month end/ quarter end close process on a timely basis
- Oversee AP and AR
- Be involved with Treasury and Inventory
- Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed. Provide overall mentorship to the team.
- Analyze financial information and drive month end support and documentation
- Liaison to internal and external auditors to support public company requirements
- Coordinate and prepare reports to support upper management
- Drive process improvement and contribute to exiting projects that achieve scalability and efficiency, system design and core accounting framework and management reporting
- Provide accounting support to the Corp Dev team on M&A by participating in due diligence, technical accounting support and leading the accounting integrations
- Partner with cross functional teams such as FP&A, Tax, Financial operations, Internal audit, legal to address operational challenges, business growth and process improvement
Qualifications:
- MUST be a U.S. citizen
- Managed a team in month end close process/process improvement
- Experience in the Manufacturing industry required.
- Strong percentage-of-completion and government contracts (FAR, DFAR, or ITAR) Highly preferred.
- Strong GL analysis and solid understanding of US GAAP and applicable regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- CPA experience preferred
- Experience in using automation tools to streamline processes
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- U.S. Citizen
- Manufacturing industry experience
- CPA preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $80.00 - $95.00 per hour
