What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Financial Officer position at Conexus?
We’re exclusively representing our client, a well-known brand in the CPG space, in hiring a new CFO.
This position will play a key leadership role, working closely with the CEO, board and executive team to achieve the company’s growth and profitability objectives.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, results-oriented leader with extensive financial planning experience within the DTC and retail industry.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing financial and analytical leadership for short and long-range planning initiatives in partnership with leadership team
- Developing financial models that reflect an aligned approach between business initiatives, investment/capital expenditure strategy, and profitability goals
- Evaluating partnerships and supporting negotiation of partner terms and conditions, and new business models
- Developing rolling financial forecasts including revenue, margin and operating expenses; as well as analyzing key drivers of actual performance versus forecast/budget. Driving high-level of accountability and ownership with business leaders on performance management
- Leading and mentoring finance and accounting teams
- Supporting preparation of weekly/monthly/quarterly financial business reviews and other reporting for leadership team and Board
- Identifying opportunities to elevate existing processes and tools to support long-term sustainable growth
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics
- MBA or CPA preferred
- 10 years experience in Retail Finance, Financial Planning, Business Planning or similar experience
- Previous experience in Consumer Products or DTC Brands highly desirable
