What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf course Valet position at Conestoga Golf Club?
Description:
Responsible for maintaining the golf cart fleet and staging, parking and cleaning golf carts before and after play each day. Attendants will help deliver a first class golf experience by greeting members and their guests to ensure their experience is memorable. Additionally, Attendants will help with valet, bag storage, maintenance of the practice areas, and resetting the practice amenities throughout the day.
Essential Duties:
- Display friendliness and helpfulness at all times to Club members and their guests.
- Thoroughly clean and wash golf carts, and stage them for play.
- Assist in managing the daily flow of traffic around the cart staging area and bag room.
- Maintain practice areas and keep them looking presentable throughout the day.
- Detail golf carts on a regular basis as directed.
- Observe all safety and security procedures. Use equipment and materials properly. Report potentially unsafe conditions.
- Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager/Supervisor.
- Come to work with a positive attitude.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. or two years’ experience in similar customer service environment.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.
- Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards and attention to detail.
- Lift, reach, bend, twist, push, pull, squat, grasp and use arm-hand coordination on a consistent basis.
- Have the ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally.
- Be able to work weekends and holidays, mornings and evenings as business demands.
- Must be able to work outside for extended periods of time throughout the day.
