As we continue to scale, we are strengthening our accounting function to support a multi-entity, high-volume business. We are seeking an Assistant Controller to bring structure, discipline, and operational excellence to day-to-day accounting operations across the consolidated company.
This role reports directly to the CFO and is ideal for a strong accounting operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building systems, improving processes, and developing people.
This is not a purely technical accounting role; it is an execution and leadership role! You will own the integrity of the monthly close, lead the accounting team’s daily execution, and improve how work gets done across AP, AR, payroll, and core accounting workflows. You will also play a key role in strengthening systems, supporting integrations, and building a scalable accounting function that can grow with the business.

· Ensure accuracy of reconciliations, journal entries, and key accounting schedules
· Oversee cash, bank reconciliations, intercompany activity, and fixed assets
· Maintain strong accounting controls, documentation, and consistency across entities
Lead the Accounting Team
· Manage day-to-day accounting priorities and workflow execution
· Set clear expectations, improve accountability, and remove bottlenecks
· Develop, coach, and strengthen team capability
· Serve as the escalation point across AP, AR, payroll, and close-related issues
Improve Systems & Processes
· Own accounting workflows within Odoo and drive process improvements
· Reduce manual work through standardization, automation, and better controls
· Support system implementations and adoption (including AP tools)
· Help integrate new entities and partnerships into company processes
Drive Accuracy, Discipline & Readiness
· Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records across the business
· Enforce strong cutoff discipline and timely processing
· Support audits, tax processes, and external partner requests
· Maintain a control-focused, detail-oriented accounting environment
What We're Looking For:
Leadership & Accountability
· Proven ability to lead and develop accounting staff
· Strong presence with the ability to bring structure and clarity
· Comfortable holding others accountable and improving execution
Operational Excellence
· Experience managing or heavily supporting monthly close
· Strong process mindset with focus on scalability and consistency
· Ability to identify inefficiencies and drive meaningful improvements
Systems & Process Improvement
· Experience working in ERP/accounting systems (Odoo preferred)
· Track record of improving workflows, controls, or automation
· Comfortable leveraging technology to improve efficiency
