Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is seeking a full-time Lead Courier in Johnstown, PA. The Lead Courier coordinates and oversees daily workload of the mailroom and courier services. Oversees and coordinates fleet maintenance, inspection, and repairs.In addition, functions a courier, transporting specimens, blood products, mail, and supplies, following schedules and safety procedures.Sorts and delivers mail and packages and operates the postal meter.Maintains and cleans vehicles and area.

Qualifications:
Essential Responsibilities:
Directs and coordinates the daily workload of the mailroom and courier services.
Oversees fleet maintenance and repairs.
Schedules routine maintenance ensuring vehicle inspection is current and preventative maintenance is on time.
Coordinates vehicle repairs as needed.
Prepares the department schedule and oversees PTO selection for the department.
Makes performance improvement recommendations for the department.
Transports stat and routine specimens, blood products, supplies, mail, and other materials to Conemaugh Health System campuses, other area hospitals, outpatient centers, physician offices, and other locations as needed.
Follow procedures for safely handling and transporting specimens, blood products, supplies, pharmaceuticals, and other materials, as applies.
Follows scheduled route sheets for courier run and adapts when needed to change in the route.
Sorts mail and packages that are received for delivery.
Performs on campus mail delivery as scheduled.
Operates the postal meter and delivers mail to the postal service.
Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
Ensures work area/mail room neat and clean.
Maintains clean courier vehicles.Washes and vacuums vehicles as needed.
Follows safety procedures and guidelines.
Does a safety check of courier vehicles prior to operation.
Reports all unsafe work practices or conditions to the manager/director.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
Required: High School graduate or GED.
Experience:
Required: Operation of a motor vehicle .
Certification/Licensure/Registration:
Required:
Valid Pennsylvania motor vehicle license (verified by Security – MMC.
Good driving record history (as verified by Security – MMC).
