Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) is seeking a Senior Staff Penetration Tester to join our high-impact cybersecurity team supporting the CSESS contract in Virginia Beach. In this dynamic, hands-on role, you’ll work on advanced penetration testing efforts and conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments to identify and address security gaps across systems, networks, and applications. Acting as a trusted expert, you’ll simulate real-world cyber threats and collaborate with cross-functional IT and security teams to strengthen our clients’ cyber defenses. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct penetration testing by simulating attacks on systems, networks, and applications to identify vulnerabilities.

• Perform manual and automated testing using industry-standard tools and vulnerability databases.

• Document findings in detailed reports, outlining the nature and impact of vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to explain technical findings, support remediation planning, and implement security enhancements.

• Stay current with evolving threats and security technologies, adapting defenses to address new attack vectors.

• Utilize a variety of tools and methodologies, including vulnerability scanners and manual exploitation techniques.

• Analyze complex systems, identify cybersecurity patterns, and develop innovative solutions.

• Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• 6–8 years of directly related cybersecurity experience.

• Working knowledge of system security design, defense-in-depth, risk management frameworks (RMF/ICD 503), and principles of information assurance.

• Experience with current security tools, encryption methods, penetration testing tools, and communication protocols.

• Demonstrated experience conducting penetration testing on Windows and Linux-based systems.

• Proven ability to evaluate software/system security compliance for classified environments.

• Experience preparing Security System Plans (SSPs) and other security documentation.

• Ability to enforce and support information system security policies and standards.

• Familiarity with ISSM support functions and cybersecurity best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the penetration testing of mobile based systems, cloud-based systems, and software
• Shell Scripting knowledge such as Power shell, python and Bash experience will be helpful.
• Test automation and test development skills
• Security or CISSP certified.
