Licenses: Valid state Class “C” driver’s license.
Certifications: Preferred ACI/DOT/NRMCA Quality Control Testing certifications. ACI/DOT required within 1 year of employment.
Experience: Previous experience in concrete construction and/or concrete inspection is preferred.
Abilities: Demonstrated strong communication & customer/quality oriented decision-making skills.
Physical: Able to lift 80 lbs. waist-high/40 lbs. overhead, climb ladders, work outside.
Safety: Must wear appropriate safety attire at all times (steel toed safety boots, hardhat, safety goggles, etc.)

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect concrete prior to delivery for product conformance
- Sample and test plastic ready mixed concrete. Tests include (but aren't limited to) slump, unit weight, air content, and temperature.
- Cast, cure, transport, and test concrete specimens.
- Conduct on-site visual inspections of concrete being delivered either by direct observation methods of chute delivery and/or climbing the truck for visual inspection in the drum.
- Assist delivery drivers at the plant and onsite.
- Assist production personnel at plant locations.
- Maintain communication with dispatch, sales, and production personnel throughout placement.
- Provide customer support onsite during the concrete placement.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

- Working Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities. No standard shifts of duty (Day and night work)
- Working Environment: Outdoor settings with exposure to weather conditions, uneven terrain, traffic, heavy equipment, and construction sites.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & Outlook). Ability to operate technical equipment including pickup trucks and communication equipment.
- Manual Processes: Lifting body weight (entering and exiting truck), climbing ladders, operate machinery, lift & secure up to 40 lbs. (frequently, waist-high and infrequently, overhead), up to 80 lbs. (infrequently, waist-high) in the operation of a wheel-barrel.
- Personal Contact: Regular interaction with customers, peers, and supervisors.
