Mechanic - Small Engine

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ability to troubleshoot minor discrepancies, determine a solution and carry out the necessary repairs, primarily on Small Engines.

Ability to perform SMALL ENGINE REPAIRS & maintenance.

• SOME TRAVEL IS REQUIRED

· Performs preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; This includes but not limited to; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, repairs or replaces broken or worn parts. Completes daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on grinding equipment along with trucks and trailers using established maintenance procedures.

· Welding skills or Certification is a plus, but not necessary.

· Installs electrical wiring, switches and controls on grinding equipment.

· Replaces faulty electrical switches.

· Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required. This may include traveling to the listed Jobsite to perform the necessary repair or swap.

· Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.

· Identify necessary supplies or repair parts as needed.

General Building maintenance and upkeep

· Additional requests/responsibilities as deemed necessary by Management.

Qualifications:

Ability to positively interact, communicate clearly, and work as a supportive Team Member

At least 2 years responsible experience in maintenance and SMALL ENGINE REPAIR

AUTO MECHANIC EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS!

Welding experience is a plus!

Certifications in specific trade skills preferred. Being able to demonstrate sufficient skills in the use of hand and power tools as required for mechanical repairs.

Good skill in the use of hand and power tools.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.
