Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Worker to maintain cleanliness and order across various facilities. This role involves performing a range of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning, with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic. Prior experience in floor care, commercial cleaning, or facilities maintenance is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Handle specialized cleaning tasks such as buffing floors and applying floor care treatments
- Conduct custodial tasks such as trash removal and restocking supplies
- Assist with maintenance activities including minor repairs or painting as needed
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
Experience
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance and general cleaning procedures is desirable
- Familiarity with residential painting or industrial cleaning tasks can be beneficial
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
