Water Meter Specialist – Entry Level

NO PREVIOUS WATER METER EXPERIENCE REQUIRED — PAID TRAINING PROVIDED!
Concord Utility Services is hiring Water Meter Specialists to join our field operations team in Anne Arundel County.
This is an entry-level outdoor field position where you'll survey, conduct water meter installs, removals, and program smart water meters at residential properties. No previous water or utility experience is required — we'll train you!

What You'll Do
- Install, remove, and program smart water meters.
- Travel between residential locations to complete assigned work orders.
- Use a Work Order Management System (WOMS) and handheld devices to document completed work.
- Replace or repair meter boxes, lids, fittings, and related equipment as needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Communicate professionally with customers, teammates, and supervisors.
- Meet daily productivity and quality expectations.
- Work independently while contributing to a team environment.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for dependable, motivated individuals who are willing to learn and take pride in their work.
Required:
- 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physical fieldwork, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Previous experience is a plus, but NOT required. Experience in construction, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, utilities, maintenance, field service, or other hands-on work is beneficial.
