Concord School, serving children in PreK- grade 8, announces the hiring of a mathematics intervention teacher. This position is to support the needs of our students in the area of mathematics in middle school.
The Math Interventionist serves as a specialized instructional leader dedicated to enhancing student achievement in mathematics. This role focuses on identifying learning gaps, designing data-driven interventions, and providing targeted support to both students and staff. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver who can translate complex data into actionable educational goals. The pay range for this position is $46,267-$89,467.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Data Analysis: Design and implement comprehensive math pre-assessments to establish baseline performance. Analyze diagnostic data to identify students requiring Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions.
Instructional Support & Consultation: Partner with classroom teachers to curate and implement evidence-based materials and high-leverage strategies tailored to diverse learning needs.
EST Leadership & Goal Setting: Develop specific, measurable, and time-bound goals for Educational Support Team (EST) plans. Ensure all math-related objectives align with state standards and individual student trajectories.
Progress Monitoring & Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of student growth through regular progress monitoring. Update student learning plans (IEPs, 504s, or EST plans) to ensure compliance and clear communication with stakeholders.
Collaborative Intervention: Facilitate small-group instruction and "push-in" support to bridge foundational gaps while maintaining access to grade-level curriculum.
The Concord School is part of the Kingdom East School District, located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students.
