Concord Medical Group – Controller Description
We are looking for a Controller for our growing company. Responsibilities include accounting, financial reporting, and customary duties and responsibilities of controllership. This is a key hands-on position. Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for General Ledger, and oversight of all reconciliations.
- Responsible for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting, internal controls, and related process improvement.
- Key reviewer of balance sheet and income statement and reported financial results.
- Provide oversight and partner with Director of Accounting who oversees Accounting Department handling general ledger accounting, accounts payable, payroll, invoicing, and banking.
- Develop general accounting processes and overall functionality of Accounting Department working closely with CFO.
- Handle general accounting matters.
- Coordinate with Revenue Cycle Management team for accounting for out-sourced third-party and patient billing.
- Coordinate recurring outsourced tax compliance.
Position can be located in Lubbock, Texas or Flower Mound, Texas.
Requirements and Preferences
- Degree in Accounting. CPA a plus.
- Seven years accounting experience required, prefer including two years public accounting experience.
- Supervisory experience, minimum of four years.
- General Ledger responsibility and general ledger account reconciliations experience required.
- Demonstrated performance in process improvement.
- Good communication & interpersonal skills.
- Prefer experience with companies $50 million revenue to $200 million revenue.
- Healthcare experience a plus.
