JOB SUMMARY:

This position will provide accounts payable support for a Long Island based Property Management company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· AP Clerk will verify approval on all invoices and check requests.

· AP Clerk will use the 3-Way matching procedure to process purchase orders & invoices.

· The AP Clerk must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

· AP Clerk must be able to prepare and process checks for multiple companies.

· AP Clerk will update and maintain vendor database.

· AP Clerk will reconcile vendor statements and resolve issues.

· Issue payment by check and on-line.

· Communicate with vendors regarding discrepancies.

· Ability to process and follow-up on rush items.

· Maintain account payable files.

· Special projects as assigned.

· Scanning/filing as needed.

· Other office tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

· 2 years relevant experience in computerized, multi company environment.

· Minimum high school graduate / College preferred.

· Knowledge of Yardi Voyager a plus.

· Working knowledge of accounting principles.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficient in MS Office; Excel, Word, and Outlook-Calendar.

· Must have excellent verbal and written communication as well as organizational and analytical skills.

· Detail-oriented, highly organized, self-motivated and ability to prioritize tasks and projects with limited direction and time constraints. Accuracy is imperative.

· Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.

· Must be able to interact professionally with all office visitors and incoming callers.

· Experience handling sensitive and confidential information and material.
