Schedule: No nights and weekends
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical and administrative support, including but not limited to managing incoming and outgoing calls, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing billing processes.
- Perform accurate vital signs measurements.
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, autoclave tools, ear lavage.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients on medication usage, diet, exercise, and other healthcare instructions.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Assist with patient care coordination, including referrals to specialists and follow-up appointments.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a medical assistant training program or certification from an accredited institution.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in medical administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing electronic health records (EHR). Experience with Athena is a plus.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and use of social media.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient service.
- Ability to perform basic clinical procedures, such as taking vital signs and administering medications.
- Experience working in a hospital or outpatient primary care clinical setting is preferred.
- Detail oriented, ability to follow instructions, good work ethics, professional, proactive.
