About the position:

Under the supervision of the manager/director, coordinates and maintains daily operational activities to assure the delivery of quality care, to provide exceptional customer service, to foster collaborative and professional working relationships and to ensure staff adherence to the policies and procedures of the health care system and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Ambulatory experience in a primary or specialty care setting required
  • Possess at least one (1) of the following Medical Assistant certifications: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) American Medical Technologists (AMT) National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the manager/director, coordinates and maintains daily operational activities to assure the delivery of quality care, to provide exceptional customer service, to foster collaborative and professional working relationships and to ensure staff adherence to the policies and procedures of the health care system and regulatory agencies

Clinical Duties

· Procedure Assistance: Setting up for and assisting with specialized procedures such as biopsies (shave, punch), excisions, surgery, and cryotherapy.

· Cosmetic Support: Assisting with aesthetic treatments like Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, and laser therapies.

· Patient Intake: Rooming patients, measuring vital signs (blood pressure, temperature), and documenting detailed medical histories and current skin concerns.

· Wound Care: Performing suture removal, applying dressings, and administering biologic or steroid injections as directed by the physician.

· Specimen Handling: Labeling and preparing skin samples or biopsies for transport to pathology labs.

· Patient Education: Instructing patients on post-operative wound care, medication use, and preventative skin health.

Administrative Duties

· Scribing: Accurately documenting patient encounters, diagnoses, and treatment plans directly into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems during the exam.

· Clinic Management: Scheduling follow-up appointments, managing pharmacy callbacks, and handling prior authorizations for specialized medications.

· Inventory & Sterilization: Sanitizing exam rooms and ensuring instruments are properly sterilized and stocked.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Ambulatory experience in a primary or specialty care setting required
  • Possess at least one (1) of the following Medical Assistant certifications: ,American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
  • BLS CPR from the AHA
  • Applicants for this position must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor an employment visa for this position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associates Degree
  • Successful completion of accredited medical assistant program
  • 6 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Previous Supervisory experience in an active, clinical setting is strongly preferred.

The starting salary for the positions is $28-$32/hr.
