CVT RURAL LEAD DRIVER
TRANSIT DISTRICT REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid and current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) meeting all vehicle state law insurance requirements with no traffic moving violations within the last twelve months OR
- Ability to obtain CDL within 12 months of employment
- Must pass a drug test and DOT physical
Ensures successful operation of CVTD and its programs including the adherence to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Performs various functions such that safety and timely transportation services are provided to passengers transported by CVTD vehicles. Represents CVTD as needed to market and promote the programs offered by CVTD. Carries out various supervisory functions designed to provide guidance, improve CVTD productivity and vehicle maintenance, provide support and/or oversight to CVTD drivers, provide training sessions, schedule and make daily work assignments, perform administrative tasks and ensure CVTD’s objectives and missions are met. Provide support to CVTD’s various departments as needed and carries out assignments designed to ensure consistent and appropriate applications of policies and procedures governing CVTD. From time to time, may be assigned to transport passengers and thus must be thoroughly proficient with the duties and responsibilities of department drivers.
