What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Concession Stand Operations position at Concession Stands?
BASIC FUNCTION:
To operate and supervise the Cedar Falls CSD Concession Stand(s) at athletic events and activities held at the High School.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervision
- Reviews the event schedule with the Activities Director, or designee
- Determines menu and pricing for the season
- Hire/trains and evaluates district Lead Concession Attendant(s)
- Assists Lead Concession Attendant(s) with training volunteers
- Builds and manages the schedule for all stand district workers. Works in collaboration with the Facilities Scheduling Coordinator to secure volunteers
- Keep all unauthorized persons out of concession stands
- Report all problems affecting concession stand operations to the Athletic Director
2.Responsible for Purchasing and Accounting
- Purchases and orders all food and non-perishable items and provides Secondary Bookkeeper with vendor/sales receipts
- Maintains complete and accurate inventories
- Assist delivery trucks with stocking/stock all shelves and counters prior to event and restock as needed
- Responsible for following the cash handling processes for the District.
- Responsible for Maintenance
- Prepare food according to food safety plan
- Oversees the cleanliness and sanitation of the stand and equipment
- Keep the equipment in good repair as directed by the Food & Nutrition Director
- Acquires all required permits and inspections for the concession stand
- Acquires ServSafe certified
- Responsible for Operations:
- Open and close concession stand(s) for athletic events and other events as designated by the administration when Lead Concession Attendant(s) are unavailable.
- Be available during the event for staff, volunteer workers and customer questions and issues when the Lead Concession Attendant is unavailable.
- Communicates effectively with all volunteers and management
- Performs other duties as may be assigned

REASONING ABILITY:
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of American currency, weight and distance.
