JOB SUMMARY:
The Sales Representative Manager leads and supports the Sales Representatives which are an integral part our larger sales team. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales and plays a critical role in executing sales strategies, ensuring alignment between sales and operations, and building strong customer and partner relationships.
This is a full-time, in-office position based out of our St. Louis headquarters with some occasional travel to our locations across the country
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate Sales Representatives, ensuring they meet sales targets and professional growth goals.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and market share objectives.
- Develop and implement on-going training and continuous people improvement strategies to enhance the Sales Representatives skillsets.
- Analyze sales performance metrics and market trends in partnership with the Sales Optimization Strategist, providing actionable insights for leadership.
- Collaborate with Operations, Warehouses, and Regional Sales Managers to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distribution partners, and industry contacts.
- Support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new Sales Representatives; partner with HR on employee development and performance issues.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing structures, and promotional initiatives.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of business-to-business sales experience.
- At least 3 years of managerial experience leading sales teams.
- Knowledge of distribution, manufacturing, or industrial sectors preferred.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with proven ability to drive results.
- Comfortable working with sales data, KPIs, and market intelligence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/sales systems (SAP B1 preferred).
- Ability to travel by car or plane.
