Position Summary: Medication Manager oversees and monitors all aspects of medication administration and education for clients residing at the SP-SRO (Single Room Occupancy) program.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor client medications for individuals identified as needing medication support within the SP-SRO program.
- Assess clients needs to determine frequency of medication monitoring and assist clients in developing independence with medication self-administration.
- Maintain accurate medication sheets and perform medication counts (daily for controlled substances, weekly for all others).
- Report discrepancies immediately to the Director and complete all necessary documentation.
- Order and verify medications, ensuring all orders are received, accurate, and stored properly.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on medication policies, storage, and procedures to ensure agency-wide compliance.
- Facilitate communication between treatment providers regarding client medication regimens and concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation, or a related mental health discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with psychiatric or behavioral health needs.
- Strong understanding of psychotropic medications and medication management procedures.
