Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery and mental wellness. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive addiction counseling, mental health support, and crisis intervention within diverse clinical settings. As an LADC, you will utilize your expertise in psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral health to empower clients toward lasting change. Your work will contribute to transforming lives through compassionate, evidence-based care delivered in both clinical and community environments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake evaluations and diagnostic coding using ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding systems
  • Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating individual and group counseling sessions focused on addiction medicine, and behavioral therapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Motivational interviewing and experiential learning.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions including motivational interviewing, crisis management, trauma-informed care for PTSD, and family or child counseling when appropriate
  • Document all patient interactions accurately within HIPAA-compliant medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, discharge planning, and follow-up care to support ongoing recovery efforts
  • Engage in data collection and research activities to improve treatment outcomes and contribute to best practices in behavioral health services
  • Provide crisis intervention and behavior management support in emergency situations or when managing complex cases involving substance use or mental health crises

Qualifications

  • Valid license as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or equivalent credential recognized by the state licensing board
  • Proven experience in addiction counseling, clinical counseling, or behavioral health settings with a focus on patient care and assessment
  • Strong knowledge of psychotherapy modalities such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation standards, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10), HIPAA regulations, and electronic medical records system.
  • Ability to manage crisis situations effectively while demonstrating excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity
  • Knowledge of research methods related to mental health treatment outcomes is a plus

Pay: $62,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
