The Company –
conceptcsi is a client-oriented commercial General Contractor and Construction Management firm based in New York City, with over 30 years of national and international experience. We cover cover various sectors including corporate interiors, healthcare, mission critical, retail, critical infrastructure, and adaptive reuse, servicing select clients through a renowned boutique service. We are seeking a well-rounded, experienced, qualified Project Estimator to join our growing team.
Responsibilities –
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other construction documents to prepare accurate and competitive project estimates
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site walkthroughs to gather essential project information
- Perform on-screen takeoffs and utilize estimating tools to develop detailed bid proposals
- Determine project scope, solicit bids from qualified subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure pricing accuracy and scope coverage
- Source subcontractors and suppliers based on project location and requirements, maintaining strong vendor relationships
- Develop RFIs and clarifications to address scope gaps and ensure complete understanding of project requirements
- Formulate value engineering options and cost-saving strategies to enhance bid competitiveness
- Maintain awareness of market conditions and industry trends to support strategic pricing decisions
- Participate in handover meetings with the project management team, clearly communicating estimate assumptions and supporting project kickoff
- Maintain organized bid documentation and ensure compliance with company standards and protocols
Requirements –
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a closely related field is highly preferred.
- 3 years of construction estimating with experience working with a General Contractor.
- Ability to determine, create and maintain construction schedules in Microsoft Project.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure.
- Computer proficiency: Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project & Procore. Timberline a plus.
- Salary is DOE.
Salary : $70,000 - $140,000
