Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, roll-off, and dump trucks. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and professionalism while transporting freight to various locations.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive different types of trucks such as tractor-trailer, dump truck, and roll-off trucks.
- Load and unload freight securely and efficiently to ensure safe transport.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, rest periods, and cargo information in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated.
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Familiarity with trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is a plus.
- Strong understanding of load securement techniques and freight handling procedures.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by company policy.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
