Superintendent – Healthcare Construction

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to support upcoming healthcare construction projects in the Houston area. This role requires a seasoned field leader with a strong background in healthcare and medical facility construction, including Medical Office Buildings (MOBs) and related environments.
The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans, schedules, and healthcare-specific requirements. This is a hands-on role best suited for someone who is comfortable managing complex scopes, coordinating multiple trades, and working closely with project teams and inspectors.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day on-site construction operations
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Maintain project schedules and sequencing to support timely delivery
• Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and healthcare-related standards
• Manage inspections, testing, and coordination with local authorities
• Enforce site safety programs and maintain a safe working environment
• Monitor quality control throughout the project lifecycle
• Work closely with Project Managers, architects, engineers, and ownership teams
• Lead daily site meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and safety meetings
• Review drawings, RFIs, and field conditions to identify and resolve issues proactively
• Maintain accurate field documentation, daily reports, and project logs
• Support project closeout activities including punch lists and final inspections
Required Experience & Qualifications
• 10 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
• Demonstrated experience on healthcare or medical facility construction projects
• Strong understanding of healthcare building requirements and coordination of MEP systems
• Ability to manage complex schedules and multiple trades
• OSHA 30 certification required (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Experience working with inspectors, owners, and design teams
• Comfortable working in healthcare environments with heightened quality and compliance expectations
• Proficiency with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools
Preferred Experience
• Medical Office Building (MOB) experience
• Experience working in active or occupied healthcare facilities
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
