Job Description:
The Maintenance Department Leader will oversee all aspects of the maintenance department, production lines, and affiliated equipment, building, and grounds.
Main Responsibilities:
- Scheduling work and manpower to meet production demands.
- Maintenance of the preventative maintenance system to achieve optimal performance.
- Monitoring overtime and parts expenses to control costs.
- Developing and maintaining mechanical integrity and equipment reliability programs.
- Ensuring safe working conditions and enforcing the plant's safety program.
- Maintaining equipment for efficient operation within the constraints of the union contract and USDA regulations.
- Leading a team of maintenance professionals to achieve high levels of equipment reliability.
- Improving the efficiency of production lines and ensuring consistent operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other technical field preferred.
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Predictive Maintenance programs and electronic principles.
