Comtex Technologies is seeking an outgoing, multi-tasking "go-getter" to join the local sales team. We are willing to train the right person if you "fit" into our culture of integrity, ethics, faith, and have some technology and / or sales background.

Base Salary is $50,000 (includes Car Allowance) plus Commissions plus Quarterly and Annual Bonuses. Package is worth $80k to $100k.

Comtex Technologies sells integrated systems to businesses such as building card swipe /Access Control, CCTV Security Camera Systems, Fire /Burglar Alarm systems and monitoring, Audio Visual, Structured Cabling, Specialty Low Voltage & Fiber, Telecommunications Systems including phone systems, or other low voltage and security technologies. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you would be responsible for the sale of integrated low voltage, security and other technology solutions to business owners, engineers, architects, and consultants responsible for new construction and renovation building projects and upgrades to existing buildings.

Basic Job Duties:

  • Developing new business opportunities through "warm" calls and lead generation and networking with your current business "connections" and our current customers base of more than 10,000 in the central Alabama area.
  • Perform initial inspection and site survey and document requested quantities, record pictures, estimate distances, etc...
  • Assess the need/scope of work with the property owner / client or prospective clients.
  • Assist Estimating in writing proposal with EXCEL templates based on the scope of work and survey information
  • Act as the liaison between Company and Project Owners, or Contractors

Your typical day would include but not limited to:

  • Develop new business opportunities with your current business "connections", follow up on house leads and help manage our current customer relationships
  • Communicate with clients via outbound calls to discuss upcoming projects
  • Track all quote / prospect data in regard to profiles, communications, and tasks with internal systems based on Connectwise and Microsoft Outlook, Excel, etc...
  • Respond to questions and solve problems, train customers on use and operation of apps on phones and computers as it relates to our products. Work with key players in Operations and Admin departments.
  • Meet with customers on construction sites and/or at the Comtex Office

Requirements:

  • Strong written and oral communication in English and Outlook (writing).
  • Positive attitude, team player, outgoing, ability to think outside the box
  • Valid driver's license and personal and dependable vehicle - car allowance provided
  • Knowledge of security & technology systems and Commercial Construction is an asset and must have a minimal knowledge.
  • Must be able to find addresses for appointments and be on time (or early) for all appointments out of the office including travel within 100 miles (occasionally).

Qualifications:

  • Proven history of consistent quota attainment or sales history for more than 2 years.
  • Solid Sales Methodology in terms of approach, discussions, quotes and presentations, and closing.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Excel for quotes, word, and other internal software like Connectwise.
  • Ability to handle larger accounts with senior leaderships
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience (Preferred) but not required.
