Job Overview
We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join the Capitol Area Support Team based in Harrisburg, PA. The selected candidate will provide hands-on support for workstations, laptops, Macs, and related peripherals in a large enterprise environment. This is an onsite role reporting daily to PEMA Headquarters with possible travel to nearby facilities in the Capitol Area.

- Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute working lunch)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide workstation, laptop, and Mac support including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Monitor incident queues, take ownership of issues, and support end users
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date ticket documentation
- Provide resolution documentation for cross-functional teams
- Support device compliance and health (SCCM issues, updates, OS/application problems)
- Troubleshoot and support peripherals (printers, docking stations, scanners, etc.)
- Escalate issues and collaborate with teams such as SCCM, Active Directory, Security, and IT Service Desk
Required Qualifications
- 3 years supporting PCs in a large enterprise environment (1,000 devices)
- 3 years deploying PCs and supporting end users
- 3 years developing, testing, and maintaining PC images
- 3 years supporting PCs in large domain environments
- 3 years installing and configuring PC hardware and peripherals
- 3 years repairing PCs (hard drives, memory, motherboards, etc.)
- 3 years experience with security, disk encryption, and antivirus solutions
- 3 years knowledge of Active Directory, GPO troubleshooting, and name resolution
- 3 years managing profiles and certificates on Windows and macOS
- 2 years remote support experience (SCCM Remote, RDP, ARD)
- 2 years supporting Microsoft Office 365 on Windows and macOS
- 1 year integrating macOS systems into Active Directory environments

- Scripting with PowerShell and VBS
- SCCM Configuration Manager queries and reporting
- SCCM OSD Task Sequences (creation, optimization, troubleshooting)
