Title: Project Manager - NERC
Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid. 1-2 days a week in the office)
Duration: Fulltime
Project Manager NERC is responsible for managing projects involving support for NERC CIP Audits.
Responsibilities:
- Manage cloud-based security project using Hybrid (waterfall/agile) delivery methodologies, standards and tools.
- Manage projects from business case-to-implementation.
- Support a NERC CIP (via RF aka Reliability First) audit being performed.
- Track CIP evidence responses.
- Groom team for NERC CIP Audit
- Project Management includes: budget management, resource allocation, kick off meetings, project planning, project execution and control, communication, risk analysis, quality assurance, team and vendor management, and project implementation.
- Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily scrums, retrospectives, and demos.
- Apply facilitation techniques to ensure effectiveness of the Scrum meetings.
- Provide accurate project estimates and tightly manages project budget, approved funding, forecasts and actuals.
- Lead design workshops, assessments, and troubleshooting sessions.
- Lead end-to-end technical fixes/implementation, including hardware installation, environment setup, production certification, software deployment, integration development, testing and deployment, data management, and vendor technical activities.
- Perform actual vs. planned analysis at the project level and forecast cost of the project.
- Develop project plans/scope/schedule and track progress, milestones, and deliverables.
- Facilitate and attend meetings with various technical and non-technical resources to capture project requirements, identify project milestones, communicate project timelines, track action items, and monitor project status.
- Improve transparency within the team and broader organization.
- Inspire creative solutions that eliminate waste and improve team throughput.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in large-scale IT Project Management environment.
- 5 years of experience in Cloud security and Network segmentation.
- 5 Years with NERC experience
- Must have w working knowledge of LAN, VLAN and Wi-Fi.
- Very good experience with product evaluations.
- Must be able to provide updates to Sr. Level Management must be comfortable presenting at this level.
- Prior experience with vendor interactions.
- Experience with hybrid (waterfall/agile) delivery methodology. Experience in leading hybrid Agile projects, where some work streams follow waterfall principles.
- Ability to manage multiple high visibility projects simultaneously.
- Must have good experience identifying and managing risks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely cross business delivery teams.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate with a broad set of constituencies, both technical and non-technical.
- Cyber security experience is a plus
- Electric utilities experience is a plus.

Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
