Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing in a high-volume, multi-state environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, system expertise, and the ability to ensure accurate and timely payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process full-cycle payroll for a large employee base across multiple states
- Validate time data and ensure accurate payroll calculations
- Manage payroll taxes, garnishments, and statutory deductions
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
- Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Utilize payroll systems such as ADP GlobalView (required) and SAP (preferred)
- Support process improvements and maintain payroll controls
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of payroll experience (high-volume, multi-state preferred)
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, taxes, and compliance
- Hands-on experience with ADP GlobalView (required)
- Experience with SAP or similar systems (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Business, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in large or complex organizations
- Exposure to timekeeping systems and payroll data integration
- Experience working in union environments (a plus)
