Job Title: IT Business Analyst Data Analytics

Position Overview
ComTec is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst Data Analytics with strong full SDLC experience to support data-driven initiatives in the Energy & Utilities domain. This role involves requirements elicitation, business process analysis, data analytics, testing, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver effective technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering through interviews, workshops, and user story sessions; perform GAP analysis.
- Develop and document user stories, functional specifications, use cases, process flows (AS-IS / TO-BE), and requirements traceability.
- Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions, including wireframes and prototypes.
- Analyze and map business processes to identify optimization opportunities.
- Perform data analysis to support business goals, performance reporting, and energy-related insights.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Support software design, testing strategy, and execution including system testing and UAT.
- Develop test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria; work closely with QA and business users during testing.
- Maintain detailed documentation for system functionality and business processes.
- Assist in business case development, project planning, and estimation.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
- 7 years of experience in requirements elicitation and functional documentation.
- Proven experience in the Energy & Utilities industry.
- Strong knowledge of Waterfall SDLC (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment).
- Hands-on experience with Data Analytics, SQL, Power BI, MS Access.
- Expertise in business process modeling (UML, BPMN).
- Experience creating AS-IS / TO-BE process flows and business re-engineering.
- Strong testing experience, including test plans, system testing, and UAT.
- Understanding of databases, basic programming concepts, and technical environments.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and sense of urgency.
