Job Summary

Principal Accountabilities
- Provide financial guidance and analytical support within the Budgets Department.
- Prepare budget-to-actual reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, reconciliations of contingency balances, and project reporting.
- Support special projects, including budgeting and monitoring labor-related costs, employee benefits, and overhead allocations.
- Utilize system-generated reporting tools including:
- Online journal entries
- General Ledger
- Microsoft Power BI
- Budget inputs
- Perform ad hoc reporting and complex budgetary analysis to identify trends and explain variances.
- Support the annual budget cycle.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Help prepare and update budget policies, procedures, desk manuals, and training materials.
- Apply accounting and budgeting principles gained through education and experience.
- Understand and apply Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements to Energy Northwest.
- Interface with internal managers, supervisors, and external agencies.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology.
- Project Controls experience.
- Detail variance analysis.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of project controls/project management experience in an industrial environment; OR
- Associate (AA) degree and six (6) years of project controls/project management experience; OR
- High School Diploma/GED and eight (8) years of project controls/project management experience in lieu of a degree.
- Formal training on Primavera P6 or another project management system.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of project controls/project management experience in an industrial environment; OR
- Associate (AA) degree and seven (7) years of project controls/project management experience; OR
- High School Diploma/GED and nine (9) years of project controls/project management experience in lieu of a degree.
- Formal training on Primavera P6 or another project management system.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of project controls/project management experience in an industrial environment; OR
- Associate (AA) degree and nine (9) years of project controls/project management experience; OR
- High School Diploma/GED and eleven (11) years of project controls/project management experience in lieu of a degree.
