Payroll Tax Analyst
Duration: 3 Months (Contract to hire)
Mode or arrangement: Hybrid assignment
Location: USA, NC, Cary, 305 Gregson Drive
Our client, a global leader in the technology & engineering sector, is seeking a Payroll Tax Consultant to support payroll tax compliance and reporting operations. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with exposure to multi-state and multi-company payroll tax processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and executing payroll tax activities, reconciliations, and audits
- Researching and applying updates in federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
- Managing tax correspondences with third-party providers and government agencies
- Reviewing and validating payroll tax filings to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Supporting quarter-end and year-end balancing, including work with ADP Tax Services
- Handling expatriate/inpatriate payroll tax adjustments and compliance impacts
- Collaborating cross-functionally to resolve employee cases within SLA timelines
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
✅ 2 years of payroll/tax compliance experience
✅ Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll tax laws and reporting (941, 940, W-2, 1099)
✅ Hands-on experience with multi-state, multi-company payroll
✅ Proficiency with Workday Payroll & ADP
✅ Advanced Excel & Microsoft Office skills
✅ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
