What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineer position at ComTec Information Systems (IT)?
Looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join a collaborative Vehicle Engineering team! for a defense client on a w2 engagement.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and develop mechanical products and systems, including electrical enclosures, control panels, and junction boxes.
- Work with sheet metal, machined, thermoformed, and 3D-printed parts.
- Integrate electrical components (PCB/CCA, cables) into larger systems.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams including avionics, power systems, thermal analysts, manufacturing, and suppliers.
- Apply MIL standards (MIL-STD, MIL-HDBK, AS50881) in design.
- Support technical documentation and problem-solving for integration projects.
What We’re Looking For:
- STEM Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related).
- 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably with aerospace or aircraft systems.
- CAD modeling skills: NX Siemens, CATIA, SolidWorks, or Team Center Enterprise.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
